When James Davison joined Club Xes in August 2008 he had the unenvious task of filling the shoes of long time resident DJ Baby D. This was a baptism of fire considering DJ Baby D had a loyal following and a style of music long associated with Club Xes. However, the job was done well and now DJ James D is resident DJ and can boast lining up with one of the UK's best DJs in Pete Martine. Not bad for a 20-year-old who lives and breathes dance music.
This is James D's first big engagement and has already captured the imagination of Sheffield's gay clubbers with a more commercial and upbeat approach. He moves into the coveted Saturday night spot previously held by DJ Baby D and has the exciting task of pumping out dance tracks on Club Xes' busiest night. When he's not DJing he can be found putting together mix CDs including most of the favourites that Club Xes clubbers can't get enough of each weekend. James D also has a popular blogspot dedicated to his craft. "It's all about music. We love to support up and coming producers and DJ's, so we like to post anything relevant to get them recognised".
